History

Sienna Municipal Utility District No. 5 (the “District” or the “Master District”), a political subdivision of the State of Texas, is located in Fort Bend County, Texas.

The Master District is a political subdivision of the State of Texas, was created by order of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (the “TCEQ” or the “Commission”), dated July 24, 2001, and operates pursuant to chapters 49 and 54 of the Texas Water Code, as amended. Road powers were added in 2009 to the District’s powers by special legislation codified as Chapter 8321 Texas Special District Local Laws Code. The District is located within the extra‐territorial jurisdiction of the City of Missouri City and lies wholly within Fort Bend County, Texas. The District is located in northwest Fort Bend County, approximately 23 miles southwest of downtown Houston. The Master District also serves as a provider of regional water, sanitary sewer, drainage, park/recreational and road facilities to the approximate 3,424 acre service area comprised of the District, Sienna Municipal Utility District No. 4 (“SPMUD 4”), Sienna Municipal Utility District No. 6 (“SPMUD 6”) and Sienna Municipal Utility District No. 7 (“SPMUD 7”).

The Board meets the first Monday of each month at the offices of Allen Boone Humphries Robinson LLP, 3200 Southwest Freeway, 24th Floor, Guadalupe Room. Meetings generally begin at 12:30 p.m. and are open to the public.
